2/17/2012 - Friday Fish Fry

Every Friday until March 30, St. Adalbert Parish will hold a fish fry at the American Legion Hall (290 Grand Ave., Rosholt) from 4-8pm. Fish or shrimp combos are $8 for adults and $5 for children. 2/18/2012 - Donkey Basketball
The Marion FFA is hosting Donkey basketball Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Marion High School Gymnasium beginning at 6:30pm with the three-point shooting contest, followed by the first game at 7! Free rides for children accompanied by a paying adult will be provided in between games. And see world famous comedy donkey "Buckmaster." Join the Tri-County Powerboat Alliance at its Wolf River IceBreaker Wine and Beer Tasting Wolf River Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 18th from 7pm-9:30pm at Ted's Grandview Supper Club in Fremont. Ruby's Pantry Food Distribution is coming to 138 South Oborn Street in Waupaca Saturday, Feb. 18th. Registration begins at 8am, with distribution from 9am until the food is gone! 2/19/2012- Open Skate!
There is open skate at the Waupaca EXPO Center from 6-8pm. The entry fee is $3.00 per session. You are welcome to bring your own skates or rent hockey or figure skates from the EXPO for $2.00 per session. Concessions and a heated locker rooms are available, as well as a viewing area for those not skating. For additional information call the EXPO at 715-258-2990.

2/19/2012- Wisconsin Coin Expos LLC Convention & Show
Wisconsin Coin Expos LLC is proud to host the 29th annual convention and coin show Sunday, Feb. 19 from 9am-5pm at the Oshkosh Convention Center located 2 North Main St. in Oshkosh. There is no admission fee. The public is welcome to bring in their coins to sell or to receive free appraisals. Attendees may sign up for free door prizes.

2/19/2012- Grace Lutheran Church Soup Luncheon
Grace Lutheran Church in Bear Creek will hold a Soup Luncheon Sunday, Feb. 19. Serving will be from 10:30am-1pm. Cost is $6 for adults, children 10 and under are $3, and preschool is free. A snow date is set for Sunday, Feb. 26.

2/20/2012 - Parent/Guardian of any Student Athlete Meeting at Waupaca High School
There will be a mandatory meeting for any parent/guardian of a Waupaca High School athlete planning to participate in any spring sport on Monday, Feb. 20th at 5:15pm in the Community Room at WHS. If you are unable to attend this meeting you will be required to view a video pertaining to athletics before your child is eligible to participate in any athletic program. This meeting is only for those that have not been to a meeting in the fall or winter.

2/20/2012- The "Golf Inside" Outing

Tee off indoors at The "Golf Inside" Outing Monday, Feb. 20th from 5:30-8:30pm at Radisson Paper Valley Grand Ballrooms. 2/20/2012- Friends of the City of Waupaca Parks and Recreation Group Meeting

A second meeting to continue to organize a Friends of the City of Waupaca Parks and Recreation Group will take place Monday, Feb. 20 at 6:31pm at the City Recreation Center located on 407 School Street. Any and all who are interested are encouraged to attend.

2/21/2012 - New Orleans Mission Trip Fundraiser: Dinner

There will be a New Orleans style fat, Tuesday the 21st, from 4-7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for children 4-11,and under are free. We will be serving traditional New Orleans style Jambalaya, Dirty Rice, and King Cake. This fundraiser is to help support Trinity's youth and chaperones as they prepare for the National youth Gathering in New Orleans in July.

2/21/2012- Grace Lutheran Church Pancake Supper

The public is invited to a Pancake Supper at Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester on Tuesday, February 21st from 4:30pm-7pm. 2/23/2012- Go Red for Women Event

You are cordially invited to RMCs Annual Heart Event! Go Red for Women will be held Thursday, February 23 at 6:30pm in the Maasch Education Center. 2/25/2012 - Shiocton Snowmobile Club Annual Dance/Raffle

The Shiocton Snowmobile Club will have their annual dance/raffle Saturday, Feb. 25th from 8am-12pm at The River Rail on HWY 76 in Shiocton. Tickets are 3/$5 from members or at the door for the dance, and you can win cash or numerous other prizes with the same ticket. There will also be a silent auction, 50/50 cash prize, and music by the Country Rewind Band.

2/25/2012 - 4th Saturday Lunch

Treat yourself to some great food at the 4th Saturday Lunch (a free community meal) on Saturday, Feb. 25th at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma. Serving is from 11am-1pm. Bring a friend. Everyone is welcome!

2/25/2012 - 50th Annual Marion Lions Fish Derby

The 50th Annual Marion Lions Fish Derby will take place Saturday, Feb. 25th at Lions Point. There will be a fishing contest, pool tournament, kid's fishing derby on ice, kitty kat snomobile races, horse drawn rides, music by "LA Woman," and much more! There's something for everyone! All proceeds used for Lions charities.

All proceeds benefit the future domestic abuse shelter for Waupaca County. There will be 50/50 Raffle and Paddle Wheel Raffles. Appetizers & free beer. 2/28/2012 - National Pancake Day

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and IHOP restaurants will celebrate National Pancake Day on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 7am-10pm. IHOP will be offering a free stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes to each guest and, in return, diners will be asked to leave a little something behind for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. 2/29/2012- 2012 Tree and Shrub Order Deadline Extension

The Waupaca County Land and Water Conservation Department has extended the order deadline for trees and shrubs for the 2012 spring planting season. The deadline for ordering is Wednesday, Feb. 29th, but it's a first come first serve basis, and supplies are limited. Order blanks are available at the Land and Water Conservation office. You may also request an order form by phoning 715-258-6245. Pick up date for trees and shrubs is scheduled for mid-April.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation will host one of its signature head-shaving events at the UW-Stevens Point Laird Room in the Dreyfus University Center on Friday, March 16 from 6pm-11pm. 3/20/2012 - Candles and Cabaret Spaghetti Dinner and Variety Show

See Candles and Cabaret, a Dinner and Variety Show, in the Waupaca Middle School commons and Gerald Knoepfel Auditorium on Tuesday, March 20. From 5pm-6:30pm, listen to Waupaca's Barb Kirk on piano and some of the Middle School's finest instrumental and vocal performers as you enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner. At 6:30pm is Waupaca's One Achord Vocal Quartet. From 7pm-8:30pm enjoy the Jazz Band, Jazz Combo and Vocal Jazz groups. All free will donations will benefit Waupaca Music Booster Projects and Summer Music Camp Scholarships and help fund Trinity Lutheran's Youth Ventures projects.

The UW Varsity Band will perform Monday, March 26 at 7pm at the I-S High School Gym. Seating is general admission. Doors will open at 6pm. Tickets are $10 in advance, $8 for students 6th grade and under and senior citizens 55 and over. All tickets will be $12 at the door. Tickets are available at: I-S Elementary School Office, I-S Middle/High School Office, Fitness and Aquatic Center, Premier Community Banks in Iola and Scandinavia, and 1st National Bank in Iola. The School District of Waupaca's 4-year-old screening will be held March 28-30th at the Waupaca Learning Center. The screening is for children who will be 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2012. 4/6/2012 - CRP General Sign Up

A general sign up for the Conservation Reserve Program will begin March 12 and continue through April 6. During the sign up period, farmers and ranchers may offer eligible land for CRP's competitive general sign up at their county Farm Service Agency office. 4/14/2012 - Waupaca Lions Club Spring Roses Hand Deliveries

A dozen Roses for only $15 can be hand delivered to your door by a Waupaca Lion's Club member on Saturday, April 14 from approx. 9am-Noon.
